PAIS SCHEME

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection provides assistance to a small number of vulnerable protection visa applicants under the Primary Application Information Service (PAIS).  This assistance will provide them with a commercial agent to advocate and assist them through a vigilant assessment process at no cost to the client. In order to access this assistance, an applicant must be determined to be eligible by the Department. Information regarding the criteria for being assessed for assistance is very limited and we are unable to provide further details as to what the Department will consider.
